Building Health Solutions Rooted in Culture and Community

Mas Watad’s journey into health and wellness started early. At just ten years old, she became deeply interested in nutrition and healthy living. What began as curiosity later grew into a lifelong mission. Today, as the Co-Founder of Dawsat and the Owner and CEO of Masclinics Ltd, she is helping reshape how health and wellness are approached across the Arab world.

After studying Clinical Dietetics at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem, Mas noticed something important. Many health programs did not reflect the culture, habits, or food traditions of Arab communities. She understood that people were more likely to build healthy lifestyles when solutions respected their everyday lives rather than trying to replace them.

This understanding led her to create the Dawsat method, a points-based system designed around the Arab kitchen and traditional eating habits. Instead of strict restrictions, the method focused on balance, practicality, and sustainability. She first introduced the program through small support groups held in her home. The response was immediate. People connected with the approach because it felt familiar, realistic, and personal.

Over time, those small groups grew into a much larger movement. Under Mas Watad’s leadership, Dawsat expanded into a leading health platform serving communities across the MENA region. Through its app and online services, the platform now offers accessible health coaching and wellness support to a wider audience. Her work has become especially relevant at a time when obesity and diabetes continue to affect millions across the region.

One of the strongest parts of her leadership is her focus on women’s health and empowerment. Mas believes women play a central role in shaping healthier families and communities. By helping women better understand nutrition and wellness, she believes long-term change becomes possible across generations. Her work reflects this belief in a practical and meaningful way.

She leads with empathy and understanding. Rather than pushing unrealistic standards, she encourages steady and achievable progress. Her programs focus on helping people feel healthier while still staying connected to their culture and traditions.

Mas Watad continues to grow Dawsat with a clear purpose. She wants healthcare and wellness to feel accessible, culturally relevant, and supportive. Her story is a reminder that meaningful innovation often begins with understanding people, their habits, and the communities they belong to.
