Dr. Miskyah-Marie Toth’s Journey of Building Leaders across Africa

As the CEO and Owner of Business Directive Contract Services (BDCS), Dr. Toth has built a trusted name in the field of logistics and supply chain. Under her leadership, BDCS has become an influential voice in transforming the industry’s staffing, outsourcing and workforce ecosystem. BDCS even received the “Standard Bank Top Gender Empowered Company Award” in 2024. Dr. Toth’s strategic leadership has guided BDCS through national expansion, economic challenges, and even the COVID-19 pandemic.

Parallel to leading BDCS, she is also the founder of Miskyah.com, a leadership and empowerment platform focused on coaching, mentorship and business development. Through initiatives including Women 4 Change and Let’s Talk Business, she empowers entrepreneurs and professionals across Africa with practical tools for leadership, business growth and sustainable success. These ventures and initiatives are a reflection of Dr. Toth’s belief that leadership is more than just titles; it’s about the impact one leaves behind. 

Not limiting herself to leading successful businesses alone, she has even authored “Iron in Silk.” As a memoir, it offers readers a deep dive into Dr. Toth’s journey over the years and her insights into leadership, resilience, and transformation. The book reflects the strength, courage and grace that have shaped her journey while encouraging others to overcome adversity and pursue purpose-driven success.

Recognising her exceptional contributions towards leadership development and women’s empowerment, Dr. Toth has been honoured with multiple awards and features. From being named “Women Leader of the Year in Human Resource Management” by the Asian-African Chamber of Commerce & Industry in 2023, to being among the IAOTP’s Top 50 Fearless Leaders in 2026, her journey has always been an impactful one. 

In 2024, Dr. Toth was named an IAOTP Top Global Business Leader and received the MEA Markets Female Entrepreneur Coach of the Year, South Africa award. Additionally, CIO Views recognised her as one of Africa’s 10 Most Empowering Businesswomen. She was also featured among the Top HR Leaders 2024 and recognised as a Global Game Changer by Passion Vista Magazine and Unified Brainz Group. 

In 2025, Dr. Toth received an honorary Doctor of Professional Studies from Universidad Azteca. She was named CIO Times Woman of the Year, IAOTP Empowered Woman of the Year, and a White Page International Global Power Leader. She was also recognised among South Africa’s Top 100 Influential Women, featured by South African Business Integrator, and welcomed into the Passion Vista Leaders’ Club 2025, a global community of visionary leaders and changemakers.

Moreover, she will be celebrated at the IAOTP Annual Awards Gala in New York, United States, in December 2026. She also received the Insights Success Global Excellence and Leadership Award in the Women in Recruiting and Consulting category at the Global Excellence and Leadership Awards Africa, held at DoubleTree by Hilton in Cape Town, South Africa this year.
