Carine Bouery | A Conduit to Co-creating Happiness and Harmony for People and Planet

An acclaimed marketer in the energy and sustainability space, Carine Bouery is an executive consultant, trainer, and coach in corporate happiness, a speaker, and podcast host of “Head of Hearts.” Parallel to this, Carine is also the Head of Marketing at Positive Zero, a decentralized power infrastructure company that helps businesses and industries in the region forge sustainable and profitable pathways to decarbonization and efficiency by adopting clean energy solutions. 

With a Master’s degree in Leadership and Innovation in Contemporary Media and a Bachelor’s degree in Visual Communications from the American University in Dubai, Carine has even completed an Executive Certificate in Sustainability with Thunderbird School.

As a Dubai-based Lebanese professional, she is dedicated to helping people and the planet co-exist in happiness and harmony through marketing, consulting, coaching, and speaking initiatives in the Corporate Middle East, Africa, and Asia. With over a two-decade track record in strategic marketing, communications, and sustainability predominantly within the Energy sector, Carine is also a certified Chief Happiness Officer who co-creates leadership and well-being programs with foundations, training institutes, and academia across the region, empowering organizations and business leaders to design positive employee experiences and build thriving corporate cultures. 

Apart from her professional endeavours, Carine supports the World Happiness Foundation as its UAE Chapter President by working with government and corporate leaders to bridge global best practices with local initiatives in the development of Cities of Happiness®, Schools of Happiness®, and Enterprises of Happiness®. 

“Leadership is not a matter of gender or race or even the idea of mindset over skillset. It can be taught, yes. It can look different, yes. But the real leaders out there making a difference are people who tirelessly persevere towards a purpose bigger than their own problems with a passion stronger than their own will and courage. And that takes heart, not mind and not skills, but heart,” Carine reflects on the occasion of Emirati Women’s Day and women in leadership. 

Being adept at communication skills, Carine has spoken in several conferences, including the World Tolerance Summit in the UAE in 2021, among others, sharing her perspective on designing happier workplaces, hiring chief happiness officers, investing in work relationships to drive business growth, and using science to create peace and understanding. Recognizing her exceptional performance across industries, Carine has been honored with the Global Happiness Leader award in 2019 and 2020, and the Human Capital Entrepreneur of the Year Award in 2019. She even coaches over a hundred individuals every year to become more confident and influential in both their personal and professional lives through her most popular courses in public speaking, pitching skills, and personal branding.
