For Irum Farhat Farooq, education has never been an industry. It has been a lifelong conviction: where a child is born should never determine the quality of education they receive, and where an educator teaches should never limit their opportunity to grow.

A teacher by training and an entrepreneur by evolution, Irum is the Founder and CEO of EduEnhance, an education solutions and professional development company she established in Dubai in 2019. What began with a vision to connect schools with high-quality educational resources has evolved into a growing international platform working across the Middle East, Africa, South Asia and the Balkans.

At the heart of Irum’s work is a determination to close the gap between innovation and access. She believes the future of education is not about introducing technology for technology’s sake, but about using it intelligently to strengthen the people at the centre of learning: teachers and students.

Under her leadership, EduEnhance has brought internationally recognised assessment, adaptive learning, early childhood, literacy and professional development solutions to schools across diverse educational contexts. Increasingly, her focus is on harnessing AI as a tool for human growth: from personalised learning pathways for students to AI-supported reflective practice that allows teachers to examine their own classrooms, strengthen their practice and take greater ownership of their professional development.

But Irum’s vision extends beyond bringing global solutions into new markets. She advocates strongly for localisation: adapting educational innovation to language, culture, curriculum and national priorities rather than expecting educators to adapt themselves to solutions designed elsewhere.

That philosophy has shaped EduEnhance’s expansion. In Dubai, the company established a KHDA-licensed professional development arm to provide locally relevant training for educators and school leaders. With its expansion into Albania, EduEnhance has created a gateway to the Balkans, supporting a region where education, skills development and alignment with wider European standards are becoming increasingly important.

Irum is particularly passionate about educational equity, teacher empowerment and early intervention. Whether working with leading private schools, government education systems or underserved communities, her guiding question remains the same: “How can we make excellent education accessible to more people?”

Her leadership philosophy is equally grounded in purpose. For Irum, success is not defined simply by how large a company becomes, but by the relevance and longevity of the change it creates.
